Summary
WE told the story recently about Darius Vassell's miserable time in Turkey, getting kicked out of his hotel because his club failed to pay the bill. Well Darius is now chronicling his homesickness on his own blog (www. vassell. net).
As a study in isolation and depression, it's like a grim art- house movie converted to internet diary form. Darius chronicles how his old hotel won't give him his things back, his failure to make any friends or learn the language, his decision not to leave his hotel room for three days after a defeat, then to cap it all his dog (at home in England with the missus presumably) gets lymphoma.
