AT Graham Chapman's memorial service in 1989, the choir sang Jerusalem in Japanese accents, just as Chapman himself used to do in his drinking days. John Cleese made a point of saying f*** in his eulogy, responding, he said, to Chapman's voice egging him on to say it in a church. "It started seriously and descended into lunacy," says writer and comedian Adrian Poynton.
