GEORGE Bernard Shaw sure does go on a bit. It's somehow fitting, then, that this early work opens with a shriek, as penniless dentist Valentine relieves the appropriatelychristened Dolly of a top molar.
Dolly and twin Phil are the colourful products of progressive parenting at the hands of their deserted protorad-fem mother Mrs Clandon, whose eldest daughter, Gloria, seems a seriousminded thing, albeit with a hidden libertine streak. Dad turns out to be as big an unreconstructed chauvinist as Gloria's suitor Valentine, so happy families is not on the cards.
