Craig Thomson has set his sights on returning from knee surgery in time to help Hearts win the Co-operative Insurance Cup.

The 18-year-old was forced to undergo keyhole surgery on Saturday to repair damaged knee cartilage and is now expected to be sidelined for eight weeks, having already missed a month since being injured the 2-1 win over Celtic.
