Touch Bionics, the Scottish prosthetic technology group, is set for "a major period of expansion" after securing pound(s)2.5 million in new investment.

The group, whose artificial hands have helped to rehabilitate wounded service personnel in the UK and overseas, has won the support of Scotland's biggest provider of angel funding Archangels, and matching funding from the Scottish Venture Fund.
