A MAJOR Ayrshire textiles operation has hit serious financial troubles for the second time in five years, this time with the loss of 50 jobs.
Darvel Textiles, formerly known as Basford Textile Group has been put into administration by its directors after running into financial difficulties caused by stiff overseas competition. Joint administrator Bryan Jackson of PKF Accountants was called in on Thursday night, and forced to cut 50 of the company's 68 staff.See the full content of this document
