A HOSPITAL trust was yesterday ordered to pay out more than (pounds) 90,000 after admitting one of its hospitals lost a highly radioactive substance and took nearly three months to notice the blunder.

The Royal Free Hospital in London admitted misplacing the caesium rod, after it was used to treat a cancerous tumour in March 2001.
