I AM writing about your article about businessman Tom Hunter's move to release the millions, possibly billions, of pounds held by banks and financial institutions (March 17).
While on the face of it one can only applaud his initiative, one must also ask, "Why do the banks have millions swilling around unclaimed?" My own experience is that the banks do little or nothing to trace the "owners" or inheritors of these dormant funds.See the full content of this document
