Summary
BRITISH Airways yesterday reported a pre-tax loss of GBP148m in the three months to the end of June and chief executive Willie Walsh said trading conditions remained "very challenging" with "no visible signs of improvement".
This compares with a profit of GBP37m in the same period last year. Its operating loss of GBP94m compares with a profit of GBP35m last year. It is the first time the airline has ever made a loss in the April-June period. The company also recently raised about GBP600m to shore up its balance sheet.See the full content of this document
