THE value of manufacturing exports from Scotland increased by 4.2% to pound(s)3.3 billion last year, according to analysis of HM Revenue & Customs data by Investec Bank.

This figure is substantially behind a 15.4% growth in exports from the UK as a whole which increased from pound(s)52.1bn in 2009 to pound(s)60.1bn last year.
