VIOLENT crime has risen more steeply in the police force area that includes Scotland's capital than in any other part of the country, a report has revealed.
Lothian and Borders, which includes Edinburgh, experienced an increase of 15% in recorded crimes of violence, according to the latest Police Service in Scotland performance report, which covers the year to March 31.
