Summary
FIRST nights are a nightmare. All that air-kissing, grand gesturing and shrill, ever so slightly too loud conversations between consenting adults old enough to know better gives theatre a bad name. Better, then, than to take the culture vultures by surprise and confound their expectations.
Such theatrical sleight of hand has been common to The Arches Award for Stage Directors, which since its inception, has introduced the world to the creative visions of the likes of Adrian Osmond, Martin Danziger and Neil Doherty.
