Summary

PRINT-maker Paul Farquharson has etched a series a male figures, which may well be self portraits, on to a square of steel. Each matches a dramatic pose with a single noun. Perfectionist, artist and fascist are among the words on the list. In the final image, the figure has his arm raised in a gesture of confession. The word below? Pist.

One doesn't wish to cast aspersions, but one imagines that at least some of the Gray's students will have enjoyed a celebratory drink to mark the rite of passage of graduation. In product design, Jacqueline Seed concentrated on a different kind of drink altogether: mother's milk. Momi is her innovative feeding bottle, which has won a BP award, created to help produce some kind of consistency between breast and bottle feeding for parents who have to rely on both methods because of modern working patterns and an increasing emphasis on shared parenting. Fellow student Darren Pledger has also won a prize for a small greenhouse that uses solar power and other energy conservation measures.
