VODAFONE, the world's biggest mobile phone company, yesterday cheered investors by ringing up 5.4 million new customers in the fourth quarter of 2004, taking the total number of callers using its services to 151.8 million.
The better-than-expected Christmas boost helped the firm to realise its best three months since 2000 with 641,000 new users signing up in the UK alone. Vodafone has 15.2 million UK customers, an increase of 9-per cent since last year.See the full content of this document
