THE Scottish housing market's traditional "offers over" system does not deliberately misrepresent prices, according to an investigation by advertising watchdogs.

There had been a complaint on the issue to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), and estate agents had warned that, if upheld, it would have meant major reform of the sealed bids system at the heart of Scotland's property market.
