RON Ferguson (no relation) seems to think two hours of primetime television on Channel 4 was excessive to refute 2000 years of Christian propaganda (January 19). I beg to differ; as an atheist I found it refreshing to hear the "alternative view" for a change. He accuses Richard Dawkins [pictured] of being a "militant atheist"; funny, he struck me as being the epitome of moderation compared to the scary evangelists and zealots he was tackling.

Dawkins is also described as "a very controversial figure"within the scientific community, despite no evidence being proffered to back up this spurious claim, or is being an evolutionist now "controversial"?
