Summary

MURRAY Mania has obviously not reached the parking lots of Wimbers. Judy Murray, mother of Andy and Jamie who both won on Thursday, toodled up in her Bunny Austin 1938 vintage motor to one of the car parks. She was immediately charged the very reasonable tariff of GBP25 for leaving her car. And then it was subjected to a random car check. No special privileges, then. But what did they think she was concealing? Maybe Andy was trying to sneak in without paying?

WATER story. The Diary is on top of all the big controversies. Andy Murray was told to take the Highland Spring labels off his water bottle as the tournament sponsor is Evian. The big names have contacted The Diary's Dynamic Duo to make sure the truth will out. It is, I suppose, Scotland's watergate. Trevor Datson, external communications director for Evian, swears that Murray drinks the Evian on court and looks forward to "hydrating Andy" all the way to the final. It has also been revealed exclusively to The Diary that Deep Throat, the person in the Murray camp who gargles, sorry, prepares Andy's energy drink is not allowed in the locker room so has no access to the Evian fridge. This one will run and run.
