RICK ASTLEY-gate continues to drone on interminably. You may recall that Andy Roddick's wife had downloaded some of the 80s cheese icon's finest moments on to his iPod. Well, now the publicity- shy popster is apparently seeking a meeting with the World No.6. It all smacks of a desperate attempt to eke out some more column inches to this Diarist, but some it seems are still prepared to do the Devil's bidding. "Are you hoping to hear from Rick? , " one questioner asked. "He's aware of your passion for him and his music." "Who wouldn't be at this point?" Roddick replied plaintively. "You guys have told everybody."
BIGGER pop stars than Astley have been pestering Roddick, however. Justin Timberlake watched his match last Saturday, although suggestions that the pair were to go into the studio shortly after the tournament to record a groundbreaking dancetennis fusion record were to prove wide of the mark. "I understand you're quite friendly with Justin Timberlake, " one journalist said, possibly working for a celebrity gossip magazine rather than an accredited member of the Lawn Tennis Writers Association.
