MORE than 2000 US military policemen are to be deployed in stations alongside Iraqi colleagues in a high-risk strategy aimed at accelerating training.

The mission will potentially leave the US soldiers exposed to mass attacks like the one which wiped out six British Redcaps at a remote station in Majar al Kabir in June 2003.
