A MAN working on a railway station extension was crushed to death yesterday in an accident, prompting calls for a safety review within the construction industry.

The accident happened at 4.15am nearWaverley station, Edinburgh, as the 47-year-old man helped move a broken down vehicle from the site on New Street to a low loading vehicle on Calton Road.
