Yoga has been proven to lower high blood pressure and cholesterol levels, but a new US study says it can halve the risk of a potentially dangerous irregular heartbeat.
The study was the first to examine the benefits of yoga on atrial fibrillation - a leading cause of stroke and most common in the elderly. Besides cutting in half the episodes of atrial fibrillation, the study found that yoga also reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression related to the condition.See the full content of this document
