Youth Crime: Mcconnell and the Herald First Minister Disputes Figures On Child Offenders

Yesterday in the Scottish Parliament, his counter-attack was against The Herald, for a report published on Monday which claimed the figures for persistent young offenders were heading in the wrong direction.

Whereas the Scottish Executive wants them down 10-per cent by 2006, it was reported that they have, in fact, had a 5-per cent one- year increase to 2004.
